- Students attended a leadership retreat, LEADR, hosted by The HALO Foundation in early August of 2011. These high school students gather to brainstorm ideas for “The Project”. Students were given an assigment to come up with ways to put the 93 cents for Flight 93 campaign into their schools. The students gathered in small groups and brainstormed ways to raise awareness and raise funds for the Flight 93 National Memorial.

Leo Woodburn, 10, of Westerville, writes a letter to his hero, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, to ask for a donation to the Wings of Charity Auction that was held in September. Woodburn was one of students to attend LEADR, the leadership retreat that was held in August 2011.
